Warrawong Wildlife Sanctuary
Australia's first feral-proof fence & platypus habitat
Warrawong built Australia's very first feral-proof fence in 1969 - a revolutionary act that changed conservation forever. Today it shelters endangered potoroos, bettongs, and bandicoots, and is one of the rare places where you might spot a wild platypus at dawn. It is now developing Australia's first privately funded koala breeding program to safeguard the species' future.
